Description:
An elegant and minimalistic pendant made with highly polished sterling silver wire, and an extremely bright and flashy labradorite cabochon.
Immerse yourself in the mystical allure of this beautiful handcrafted labradorite pendant, featuring a stunning teardrop labradorite meticulously wrapped in sterling silver wire. The particular cabochon chosen for this piece is exceptionally stunning, flashing bright hues of blue and green no matter which way its turned!
Labradorite gains its name from where it was found, in Labrador Canada. In Inuit mythology, it is claimed that a warrior saw the Northern Lights trapped in the stone and struck it with his spear to free them. Besides its gorgeous display of rainbow colors and the way it flashes and changes in the light, Labradorite is also thought by many to contain metaphysical properties. Many believe it is a strong protector for auras and protects against negativity, while it also is known as the stone of transformation (due to its shifting colors) and enhances inner strength and will.
Suspended from a simple black cord, this pendant's true beauty lies in its absolute simplicity. While making it, I wanted to focus on allowing the stone to speak for itself and allow it to show itself off with its dazzling flash of color; it almost seems to glow under sunlight! This pendant rests beautifully against any attire, though it's pictured here against a backdrop of vintage lace. With such a simple yet elegant design, I think it embodies the perfect fusion of timeless sophistication and modern style. Whether worn as a statement piece for special occasions, or as a daily reminder of nature's wonders, this pendant is sure to captivate and inspire.
