Unveil the romance of a bygone era with this exquisite "Hidden Heart" necklace, a masterpiece that marries Victorian elegance with contemporary artistry. While creating this, I aimed to capture an essence of romance and passionate love, shrouded in mystery and adorned in deep crimson hues.

The effect from the front is that of a crystal-encrusted collar necklace with elegant drops of red cascading down to accent the gorgeous central drop of deep red jasper. However, flip the piece over, and a beautiful secret is revealed: a heart shaped frame to which all of the crystals are held! This "hidden heart" was meticulously wrapped in such a way so as to remain central to the piece, while still holding its secret at the back where it can sit close to the skin of the wearer... or close the heart, if you prefer. The idea behind the design was that the heart's delicate wirework and the crystals woven to it would evoke the ornate aesthetics of Victorian jewelry, while the open design and the deep red crystals suggest hidden depths of emotion... all elements working together to create a mesmerizing play of light and texture, adding elegance and allure to any outfit its worn with. Too finish the whole piece with an artisanal touch, a handmade hook-and-eye clasp closes the necklace, adding both security and another layer of sophistication to the design.
